In February 1999, Chris joined with his brother-in-law and purchased Bloch Industries LLC, a then bankrupt custom kitchen cabinetry company in Henrietta, NY.
With strategic vision, Chris has guided Bloch Industries as a wood products platform company that now manufacturers high end custom kitchen cabinetry, commercial casework, countertops, home bars, interior and exterior hardwood doors, millwork, trim and moldings.
Bloch has implemented lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement in all aspects of the company. Bloch is recognized throughout the Northeast as a manufacturer of the highest quality cabinetry and hardwood doors.
Bloch traces its roots to the Quaker Maid line of cabinetry which was one of the best known brands of kitchen cabinets in the USA. Quaker Maid was purchased by Bloch Industries in the late 1990’s.
Bloch doors are universally recognized as the highest quality custom hardwood doors available in the USA. They are specified by builders and homeowners who desire the finest hardwood door available in the industry. Bloch supplied all the doors used in the rebuild of the Pentagon following 9/11, including bullet-proof doors for high security situations.
Bloch has expanded into commercial casework and now supplies cabinetry and millwork for schools, hospitals, office buildings, commercial buildings, nursing homes, and apartment complexes. Bloch is a preferred supplier to historic restorations of churches, architectural historic buildings, and courthouses.
