Buckler Biodefense Corporation

Buckler Biodefense is a joint venture company formed by Chris Collins and Jim Hengst, PhD in conjunction with Innate Therapeutics, Ltd.  Buckler is focused on developing antidotes and vaccines for various biodefense select agents such as Anthrax, Botulism, Dengue Fever, and the Bird Flu (H5N1). 

Products are currently being tested in government laboratories  by the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). 

Buckler collaborators include the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, Inc., New York State Department of Health Wadsworth Center Biodefense Laboratory and ZeptoMetrix Corporation.

Buckler Biodefense is located in a New York State Empire Zone and is headquartered in a recently renovated 1876 historic building located in historic Allentown.

Chris Collins is co-founder, co-owner, President and CEO of Buckler.
