Former Erie County Comptroller Alfreda Slominski has endorsed Chris Collins for Erie County Executive.  Slominski – the quintessential taxpayer advocate – has known every County Executive from Edward Rath to Joel Giambra and believes Collins is the most qualified candidate ever.

“Over the years, I have known every County Executive who has ever served, and no one has been more qualified for the job than Chris Collins,” said Slominski. “In this year’s County Executive election, we have never had a more important decision or a clearer choice and that is why I am supporting Chris Collins.”

“Chris Collins takes broken companies and fixes them saving and creating jobs in our community,” continued Slominski.  “With its staggering debt, high taxes and runaway political patronage there is nothing more broken than Erie County government.  Chris Collins will fight for the taxpayers by saying no to the political bosses and he will run County government like a business.”

As Erie County Comptroller for 19 years, Slominski earned a reputation as a fierce taxpayer watchdog, standing up to political bosses in her effort to cut wasteful spending and protect tax dollars.
