Clarence businessman and Erie County Executive Candidate Chris Collins will represent ‘Taxpayers First’ on the general election ballot this November.  Thanks to a successful petition effort, Collins will appear on the newly formed ‘Taxpayers First’ line.  The petitions were formally filed with the Erie County Board of Elections yesterday.

“The name of ‘Taxpayers First’ represents what my campaign in all about,” said Collins.  “For too long, the taxpayers in this community have finished last.  In a Collins administration, taxpayers will be treated as the customers of county services and owners of county government.  They will receive a better return for their tax dollars.  And I pledge to make every decision based on what is in the best interest of the hardworking, overburdened taxpayers of our community.”

“Taxpayers are looking for real change and new leadership,” said Collins. “When elected, I will use the same skills that I have implemented successfully in the business world to reform our government, rebuild our economy, and reduce our taxes.  We will turn Erie County around by doing something career politicians have failed to do over and over – putting the taxpayer first.”

The Collins campaign collected over 3,300 petition signatures from registered voters to create the ‘Taxpayers First.’  Collins’ effort amassed more than double the amount of signatures needed to legally create the line.

The endorsed Republican candidate, Collins will also appear on the Republican line.
